Btrfs File System
This courselet provides a practical introduction to Btrfs, a feature-rich Linux file system designed for flexibility, scalability, and data integrity. Learners will create and mount a Btrfs file system, then explore core features such as subvolumes, snapshots, compression, Copy-on-Write (CoW), deduplication, and RAID support. Using two virtual disks, users will gain hands-on experience with Btrfs’s advanced capabilities and understand how it compares to traditional file systems in terms of structure, efficiency, and reliability.
