Storage outage at TACC

RESOLVED: All services are operational. Thank you for your patience.

The storage system at TACC is currently unavailable. This outage affects launching new instances for CHI@TACC, the object storage for CHI@TACC, and currently running, and starting new instances in KVM@TACC. 

It is unclear when services can be restored, and we apologize for the inconvenience.

UPDATE: The storage system outage is ongoing, affecting:

- New launches at CHI@TACC

- The object storage at CHI@TACC, including cc-snapshot

- New launches and connectivity for active instances at KVM@TACC

UPDATE (10/04/2021 9:48PM):  

The image service for CHI@TACC has been restored, and new instances can again be launched.

It is still unclear when services will be restored. We apologize for the inconvenience and will provide an update when the issue is resolved.

UPDATE (10/05/2021 6:26PM):  

The image service for CHI@TACC is again out of serivce, preventing launches on CHI@TACC.

UPDATE (10/05/2021 7:53PM):  

The image service for CHI@TACC has been restored, and new instances can again be launched.

Service to KVM@TACC is also restored.

The Object Store for CHI@TACC is still unavailable. We expect to restore that service sometime tomorrow (10/06/2021).
