Two clouds with Bare Metal reconfiguration capabilities were recently made available at TACC and UC using the new Chameleon hardware. Thus, we will now retire our Chameleon Technology Preview running on legacy hardware (https://ironic.chameleon.tacc.utexas.edu/).
On August 31 after 12 CDT (17 UTC), we will transfer any existing OpenStack images & snapshots to the Bare Metal cloud at TACC (https://chi.tacc.chameleoncloud.org/). After the migration, users of the Technology Preview will see their images available on the new Bare Metal cloud. If you have data that you want migrated but have not yet snapshotted it, please do so before Monday using our snapshotting procedure.
After this migration, we will leave the Technology Preview running for a week to allow users to finish their experiments. On September 8, the Chameleon Technology Preview will be shut down. If you want to migrate data after August 31, you will have to perform the transfer yourself using the Glance command line client (glance image-download / image-upload).
