Update June 10th: The datacenter maintenance has concluded, and CHI@NCAR is back online.
CHI@NCAR will be unavailable from Sunday June 1st at 11:00PM MDT through June 13th due to maintenance work at the facility hosting it. The bulk of the work is planned to complete by June 6th, so we may be able to bring CHI@NCAR back online between the the 6th and 13th.
All CHI@NCAR hosts have already been placed into maintenance reservations for the duration, so the only user visible impact will be lack of access to the CHI@NCAR dashboard and API.
On Sunday, June 1st at 11:00PM MDT, the CHI@NCAR site will be brought down in preparation for facility maintenance.
Between June 2nd and June 13th, the NWSC facility housing the CHI@NCAR site will be performing essential electrical and mechanical maintenance.
This maintenance includes thorough inspections, repairs, and replacements of electrical breakers and relays, and replacement of large chilled water isolation mechanical valves.
Timeline for the work is as follows:
- June 2nd - June 6th: Mission Critical System Maintenance. CHI@NCAR resources will be unavailable.
- June 6th - June 13th: Remaining component maintenance and contingency dates for any additional repairs discovered during the outage. CHI@NCAR resources will be brought up when possible.
